  • The Administrative and Academic head of the department
  • Prepare annual budget and expenditure plans
  • Manage expenditure as per budgetary allocation
  • Initiate staff recruitment
  • Foster internal partnerships among departments and initiate external linkages

Dean of School (2007 – 2008)

            Key responsibilities:

  • The Administrative and Academic head of the school
  • Prepare annual budget and expenditure plans for the Dean’s office
  • Manage expenditure as per budgetary allocation – particularly the votes for Equipment, Travel & Research, and Scholarships
  • Facilitate recruitment of staff in liaison with the departments
  • Initiate partnerships and collaborative linkages
  • Work with departments to identify community outreach activities

Acting Registrar (Administration) (March – April 2008)

                        Key responsibilities:

  • Coordinates staff in the division for efficiency
  • Manage all utility services including health scheme
  • Handle staff  concerns and complaints on a daily basis
  • Act as secretary to several University committees

Acting Registrar (Academic Affairs) (Aug. – Sept. 2008)

                        Key responsibilities:

  • Oversee all matters pertaining to students’ Admission, Registration, Examination, Certification and Graduation
  • Act as secretary to the University Senate
  • Act as secretary to Senate committees
  • Handle students’ concerns and complaints on a daily basis
