- Provided dynamic leadership in the Division of Planning, Administration and Finance that enabled the University set up all support services from scratch for Staff and Students in Catering, Accommodation, Procurement & Stores, Finance, Human Resources, Health Services, Estates and the University Farm.
- Chairs the Committee that developed, monitors and evaluates the University Strategic Plan 2014 – 2018
- Manages the recruitment of all categories of staff and ensured they settled into their jobs seamlessly.
- Provided an enabling environment and support for development of various critical University policy documents that operationalized key activities such as the Staff Terms of Service, Staff Establishment and Scheme of Service, Human Resource Policy and Procedure Manual and The Promotion & Appraisal Criteria.
- Acts as the primary contact for all University infrastructural projects – both internally executed and externally contracted.
- Monitors all Income Generating Activities (IGAs) of the University including Staff Rental Houses, Commercial Tenants, Catering and Accommodation services and the University Farm

- Acted as the Africa-wide coordinator the Open Forum on Agricultural Biotechnology in Africa (OFAB) that exists in six countries – Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Nigeria, Ghana and Egypt
- Developed a milestone-based reporting mechanism that ensured the country chapters met their targets and where not deviating from the established OFAB model
- Was a member of the team that developed a proposal that attracted $200,000 funding from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation to support the activities of OFAB
- Provided technical support to the Regulatory Affairs Unit, participating in training of staff involved in Confined Field Trials (CFTs) for various projects under the AATF portfolio
- Edited and finalized manuals for CFTs for various crops

- For the first time made provision within the School’s budget to cater for training of Technical staff

- Streamlined the purchasing processes particularly for lab materials and over a period of 16 months had a fully functional animal breeding unit and a Parasitology/Histology lab that supported PG research particularly for staff

- Provided leadership that elevated the programme on Medical Laboratory Science into a full-fledged department
